Very few of us are aware of early life of bollywood actress Vidya Balan, but it is heart rendering to see the struggle of her life and the way she faced all the hopeless moments.
She was first signed for the Malayalam film Chakram, wherein she had to act opposite Mohanlal, but due to some unavoidable circumstances the movie was set aside. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is in Malaysia for the shooting of her movie ‘Paa’ along with Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan. It is itself a big opportunity for her to work with the Bachchans and also she is super impressed with the Big B.
These days the situation is like she can’t stop talking about him. It happened like this. The temperature is very low in Malaysia, so while shooting for the film Vidya’s costumes made her shiver. And it became apparent from her face that she had nothing to keep herself warm. A unit member says, “It was only Mr Bachchan who noticed her discomfort and offered her. His leather jacket. His simple gesture has Vidya gushing about him these days.”
Indeed she is having a good time with the Bachchans.

At the first instance she is a student studying abroad therefore she dresses up in western style – long jackets, gowns and skirts. On this Vidya says, “I have always very comfy with European style outfits which are feminine and sensual. I don’t like Indian asexual clothing. I love outfits that look feminine and that’s why I love the Anarkali style churidar-kurtas. My western look in Paa is fun and casually thrown together stuff – somewhat like I am in real life. I am not the kind of person who plans my wardrobe. I pick up things I like wearing and wear them according to my comfort.”
Describing her second look she says, “Sabya has given me plain cotton sarees from various regions of India with simple stark borders and nice interesting blouses. It’s a serious and sober look. I love wearing organic stuff and that’s why I love cotton and coarse materials as fabrics. Indian textiles have so much to offer us.”

Vidya Balan will be playing a wife to Abhishek Bachchan and a mother in the film, so there are two very distinctive looks of Vidya in Paa. Vidya says, “I wanted to work with designer Sabyasachi Chakraborty as I felt he would grasp the character’s sensibilities and reflect that in the way she dresses.”
Vidya Balan has moved away from her traitional Indian look in Balki’s Paa. She will be seen as a trendy lass – a college girl in one part of the movie. The first look as a student, is very boho-chic-dresses made from Indian fabrics made in western style – long jackets, gowns and skirts. She says, “I have always very comfy with European style outfits which are feminine and sensual.
I don’t like Indian asexual clothing. I love outfits that look feminine and that’s why I love the Anarkali style churidar-kurtas. My
western look in Paa is fun and casually thrown together stuff – somewhat like I am in real life. I am not the kind of person who
plans my wardrobe. I pick up things I like wearing and wear them according to my comfort.”
For her second look in Paa Vidya goes more traditional with plain cotton sarees from various regions of India with simple stark borders and nice interesting blouses. It’s a serious and sober look.
Indian textiles have so much to offer, certainly. Vidya’s favorite designers include Sabyasachi, Divya, Priyadarshini Rao and
Abu-Sandeep.
Vidya adds, “I enjoyed wearing my outfits in Paa because of the certain casualness and feminine appeal they had. Plus they have – lots of colour, brightness and warmth. I love colour and Sabya uses lots of them – he has an unusual sense of colours and aesthetics.”
